Artist’s Statement
BLOCKHEADZ STUDIO
As professional artists, Steve and Margie have an extensive working knowledge of various media and fabricating techniques, including: fabricated metal, custom ceramic and glass tile, hand and water-jet cut wood and laminates, various poured concrete processes, and poured polymers and resins.
They have a great appreciation for the value of the community-oriented process that defines Civic Art. They have worked directly with community leaders and city agencies, as well as state assembly members, architects, and general contractors. They pride themselves on their ability to be flexible in both concept and execution while adhering to stringent construction schedules. More importantly, Steve and Margie have a firm belief that their art lives in its environment and can promote a sense of pride and ownership for the community that it will serve.

The alliance pushes the boundaries of their individual artistic expression,
weaving together their various disciplines with new designs and techniques.
